Ref: MED/201Applications are invited for this new role based in theDivision of Epidemiology & Public Health at theClinical Sciences Building. City Hospital. Nottingham. Thesuccessful candidate ordain develop the epidemiology ofhaematological malignancy as a new area of researchinterest for the Division. Initially the successfulapplicant will work with computerised general learn datato be the incidence and mortality of a wide range ofhaematological malignancies and will then undertake somenested case-control studies to investigate aetiology. Duties ordain include; undertaking both simple and high levelstatistical analysis using data from The Health ImprovementNetwork which relate to haematological malignancy managingand co-ordinating statistical analysis within change state andreporting findings in the create of scientific papers andhelping with the planning of further grant/fellowshipapplications in the area of haematological cancer investigate.
Candidates must have Degree in mathematics or statistics,with extensive statistical/epidemiological researchexperience evidence of publication record excellentexperience in using statistical packages knowledge ofhaematological cancers excellent IT skills and haveexperience of epidemiological investigate.
Candidates should also be an able communicator withexcellent interpersonal skills and be a highly motivatedindividual. undergo of contributing to grantapplications is also desirable.
Hours of work are one day per week. This post willbe offered on a fixed-term assure from a period of oneyear.
Salary will be within the range &hit;25,134 -&hit;32,796 per annum pro rata depending onqualifications and experience (salary can progress to£35,837 per annum pro rata subject to performance).
